Autism (Online Only)

October 10, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free
Autism

While autism has only become a diagnosis relatively recently, a variety of autistic behaviors have been recognized and studied for centuries. Autism spectrum disorder (which includes the now-defunct Asperger syndrome) might be a bit of a misnomer. While it does present challenges, it typically includes a variety of strengths as well. Unless on the far end of the spectrum, autism is not debilitating in the way psychosis, depression, and other mental health issues often are.

In this session we will explore the history of autism, how our understanding of it has changed, its diagnosis, current tools and treatment options, and the future of research.

Please register at the ticket link to receive the virtual meeting information.

All sessions are free. I look forward to seeing you!
