Prejudice (Online Only)

October 17, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free
Brain Basics: Prejudice

What is the difference between bias, prejudice, and -isms (like sexism or ageism)? Why does the brain create biases and what can we do about it? Why are we learning about racism from a white South African?!

Buckle in, because this one is going to be a doozy!

The formation of biases?and the evolution of bias to prejudice?has been well-researched by great thinkers in fields including neuroscience, economics, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, psychology, and more. In this session we will explore what we know about bias and prejudice, and what we can do about it. We will discuss tools to combat not just our own prejudice, but prejudice in the world around us.

Please register at the ticket link to receive the virtual meeting information.

All sessions are free. I look forward to seeing you!
