In the past we have spent the overwhelming majority of our time in the brain, essentially ignoring the massive network of neurons that weave throughout the body. And almost all of those neurons go through the spinal cord.
In this session we will take a journey south of the brain, past the brainstem, and into the incredible, complex world of the spinal cord. We will trace the pattern of synaptic connections between the rest of the body and the cord, how it is organized, and what damage has taught us about neurological function in the spine.
